        Hi Sir,

I would like to inquire about the default sidetone configuration for firmware version V3.1.70.

We are currently encountering a local loop issue (hearing one’s own voice, which is distinct from network/acoustic echo) during an HFP call.

To troubleshoot, I upgraded the firmware to V3.2.84 via OTA using the app. After the upgrade, querying the sidetone status returned sidetone off 13. This raised a few questions that I hope you can clarify:

        1. What is the default sidetone value/status in firmware version V3.1.70?
        2. Could you explain the exact differences and behaviors between the following configurations?

          • sidetone off 13
          • sidetone off 0
          • sidetone on 0
        3. If our goal is to completely eliminate the local loop sound caused by the sidetone, what is the recommended setting we should apply?
        4. Additionally, if the sidetone is still present, how should we adjust the HFP volume, Analog-In, and Analog-Out levels? Which parameter should be prioritized for adjustment first?

Thank you, and I look forward to your support.

        Best regards,

          Hello,

If SIDETONE=OFF xx, then it is disables and xxx value is not used. You shoudl not hear your own voice in the Speaker.

If SIDETONE=ONN xx, you will hear your own voice with different volumes. 0=-49dB and 13=-49+3*13=-10dB.
