Will Apple support Auracast

Auracast, a key feature of Bluetooth LE Audio, enables audio broadcasts to unlimited nearby devices—revolutionizing shared listening and accessibility. As of 2025, Apple has not officially supported Auracast in its devices, despite adopting other LE Audio technologies like the LC3 codec. While many Android brands and public systems are moving forward with Auracast, Apple is likely waiting to integrate it in a controlled, seamless way. Given Apple’s focus on accessibility and user experience, support for Auracast is expected in the near future—possibly through a future iOS update or new hardware release like next-gen AirPods.

How Many Auracast-Enabled Devices Are Available Today in the Market?

Auracast, a revolutionary feature of Bluetooth LE Audio, is set to transform how we experience and share wireless sound. As of 2025, the number of Auracast-enabled devices on the market is still relatively limited, but the momentum is quickly building. Early support is emerging in hearing aids, wireless earbuds, smartphones, and dedicated broadcast systems designed for public spaces like airports, gyms, and museums. Brands like GN, Jabra, and Samsung are beginning to roll out compatible products, and public trials are already underway across the globe. Although full Auracast functionality depends on both hardware and software readiness—including Bluetooth 5.2+ and LE Audio support.
