As Bluetooth LE Audio becomes more widely adopted, Auracast broadcast audio is gaining attention as one of its most groundbreaking features. Auracast allows a single audio source—like a TV, PA system, or smartphone—to wirelessly broadcast audio to an unlimited number of nearby receivers, such as earbuds or hearing aids.
But how many Auracast-enabled devices are actually available in the market today?
As of 2025, we’re still in the early phase of Auracast adoption. While support is growing, only a limited number of consumer devices fully support Auracast natively. However, the landscape is changing rapidly, with more manufacturers preparing to launch compatible products throughout the year.
Here’s a breakdown of where Auracast support is beginning to appear:
Auracast is especially beneficial for hearing technology. Brands like GN ReSound and Cochlear have already introduced or announced devices that can receive Auracast broadcasts, improving accessibility in public venues.
A few Bluetooth LE Audio-compatible earbuds support Auracast or are firmware-upgradable to do so. While most mainstream earbuds don’t yet support Auracast, brands like Jabra, Sony, and Sennheiser are among the early adopters.
Some phones and Bluetooth transmitters are beginning to ship with LE Audio + Auracast support. Google Pixel phones and Samsung Galaxy models with Android 13+ are laying the groundwork, especially as Android continues adding native LE Audio support.
Audio infrastructure providers are starting to offer Auracast-enabled transmitters for airports, stadiums, museums, and theaters, where public broadcast audio can be shared with visitors’ personal devices.
Some pilot programs and public installations are already using Auracast. For example:
There are a few reasons:
The Bluetooth SIG expects hundreds of millions of LE Audio and Auracast-compatible devices to ship over the next few years. As chipset support matures and operating systems (like Android and Windows) adopt full LE Audio stacks, more phones, laptops, earbuds, and public systems will offer out-of-the-box Auracast support.
