We are reviewing the latest AudioAgent AA32xx V3 UART Command Manual for the IDC777 and would like to confirm regarding HFP_CONFIG parameter #5, we noticed that in the previous manual this parameter was shown as:
<aghfp_version>
but in the V3 manual it appears as:
<lc3swb>
while the default HFP_CONFIG value still appears to be:
HFP_CONFIG=ON OFF OFF ON 5 ON OFF ON OFF
Can you please clarify:
What exactly does parameter #5 control in the latest V3 firmware?
Does this parameter affect normal Bluetooth Classic HFP/AGHFP operation using SCO or mSBC wideband speech?
Does it change anything when using the IDC777 with the analog audio input/output interface (AUDIO=0 0)?
Should we keep parameter #5 at the default value of 5, or should it be set differently?
Please use the latest firmware which is under Suport/Firmware. It is currently AA3340D, it has the new HFP_CONFIG setting which includes LC3_SWB. If you disable it (it is disabeld by default), the firmware will act exactly the same as before. if you enable it, the IDC777 will open an LC3_SWB SCO if the other device supports it. Thsi works for HFP and AGHFP so if you take 2 IDC777, you can test it. See video at: https://www.iot747.com/aiovg_videos/lc3-super-wide-band-demo/. IOT747
